Defined Dating provides tools to help adults meet, but no dating service can guarantee another person’s identity, intentions or behaviour. Use your judgement and report anything concerning.
Age and identity
Defined Dating is 18+. Age assurance helps enforce the age threshold but is not a guarantee of identity, background or character unless a feature explicitly says otherwise.
Keep personal information private
Avoid sharing your home address, workplace details, passwords, financial credentials or other sensitive information too early. Be cautious if someone quickly pressures you to move off-platform.
Money and scams
Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or banking credentials to someone because of a dating interaction. Romance scams often create urgency, emotional pressure or elaborate emergencies.
Meeting in person
Meet in a public place, arrange your own transport, tell someone you trust where you are going, keep control of your phone and belongings, and leave if you feel uncomfortable. Consider sharing your plans with a trusted person.
Consent and boundaries
Consent must be freely given and can be withdrawn. Respect another person’s boundaries online and offline. Threats, stalking, coercion, blackmail and non-consensual intimate content are prohibited.
Block and report
Use the app’s block/report controls where available. For urgent account or safety issues, contact support@defineddating.com. For child-safety matters, see our Child Safety Standards.
Emergencies
If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the police or relevant emergency service. Defined Dating is not an emergency service.
